yeah its odd, win 8.1 issue no doubt, the exact same setup for the server works on my win7 lappy, but its probably not optimal for hosting...

"the data is damaged. area server will shut down." this is the only text i get in english or katakana (correct language?) soo i dunno why but i cannot get area server.exe in any form or via the netslum file. for what it's worth i've tried reverse compatability and whatnot to xp+ and im running win 8 ...
